Vermeer is the Griffon specter of the 18th century, and one of the 3 Judges of Hell. He easily defeated Pegasus Tenma and the still inexperienced gold saints Aries Shion and Libra Dohko. However, Vermeer was stopped by Suikyo before he could kill them.
